Fall 2010 Workshop Series

Creating a Sustainable Practice

Saturday, September 18th

Yoga _ translated as union_ is based in long standing traditions for which the ultimate goal is freedom. Hatha yoga is a technique that uses the physical body to bring focus to the mind and to create communion with *all that is*. Learn the roots of this ancient wisdom, and its transformation in the modern world. This practical, *hands-on* workshop will provide a foundation of support for the body, techniques for focusing the mind, and an invitation to move toward a more natural state of being. New students will find a supportive environment to begin an exploration into a yoga practice, and continuing students will find opportunity for deeper understanding. All are welcome.

"I do not believe that I fully expressed my appreciation for the breathing workshop. It was so wonderful. I was again impressed with how you offer support without being intrusive or patronizing; it is totally integrated into your teaching practice. You had a wonderful flow between participants, and it made me feel like just one of the class as you paid equal attention to everyone, including the non-adapted participants. It was a real thrill and very valuable experience." -Cait

Thanks so much for offering the partner yoga workshop... We really enjoyed it and look forward to more opportunities to explore...
I also wanted to let you know how grateful I continue to be for your teaching. I can't recommend your classes to people enough. I feel like I have grown a lot in my practice with your guidance." -Erica
